ElastiCube Cloud (EC Cloud) - Limited Availability

ElastiCube (EC) Cloud is a modern, managed analytics solution. It represents a focused, scalable step toward the broader vision of a fully managed data warehouse (MDWH), while delivering immediate performance improvements and easier deployment. EC Cloud allows data modelers to use the Sisense cloud as a destination for their ElastiCubes. As this is managed on the Sisense cloud, there are no infrastructure and operation burdens on customers.

The defined data is generated in the Sisense MDWH. Once a build is triggered, the process and destination tables utilize the MDWH capabilities and generate the tables on the MDWH. All queries pointing to the EC Cloud data model behave as a Live Connection to the MDWH.

Note:

The EC Cloud option should be considered by new users with small to mid-scale data usage, up to 80 GB. However, there is no concern of outgrowing this solution - while the initial limit will be 80GB, this will increase over time to meet any required size.

These ElastiCube users can take advantage of the benefits of using a managed data warehouse (MDWH) to store and query their data.

Process Flow

  1. You send data via Sisense to your Sisense-managed cloud account.

  2. Sisense provisions and manages the cloud environment.

  3. The build is created within Sisense.

  4. The results of the build are sent to an isolated instance of S3 per customer, with the parquet and CSV files.

  5. That data is then sent to Sisense for storage and to be queried.

  6. Sisense analytics accesses the cloud to render dashboards.
