This topic explains how to edit a dashboard or delete a dashboard filter.

## Editing a Dashboard Filter

**To edit a dashboard filter:**

- Make a different selection in the filter controls displayed in the Filter panel on the right side of the
  dashboard, as shown below:

  OR
    
  Click on the pencil icon next to the filter name (shown above) in the dashboard to display the Filter
  Definition window.

## Deleting a Dashboard Filter

**To delete a filter:**

- Click the bin ![8 6v7trash](https://docs.sisense.com/main/Resources/Images/8-6v7trash1.png) icon. To
  temporarily disable a widget's filter, you can toggle the filter on or off using the toggle switch. Delete the
  widget only if you do not need it any longer.
