Downloading a Widget as an Image
You can download an image of a widget in PNG format. Downloading the widget as an image is useful for presentations, your web site, emails, and so on.
The widget images can be downloaded using the default settings, or using a higher quality option that must be enabled by the administrator.
Default widget downloads
For the default option, the image size is based on the on-screen size of the widget when you download it. To create a larger image you can increase the widget space on the dashboard, or open the widget in Edit view to view it at a larger size.
High quality widget downloads
The high-quality image download option uses server-side functionality to export widgets as full resolution images, (based on the original widget size).
Note:
The high quality widget download functionality must be enabled by an admin: Admin tab > System Management (under Server & Hardware) > Configuration (top-right corner) > Exporting section > toggle Full-Size Widget to Image Download.
For Pivot and Table widgets the image includes all of the columns that were rendered in the dashboard, not just the columns that were visible on the screen. Keep in mind that downloading high-quality widget images takes longer than the default image download.
To download a widget as an image:
- In dashboard mode, click on the widget's menu, and select Download > Image.
- In edit widget mode, click on the download icon, and select Download Image.
